Chris Girard was born and raised in Bay City. He built his career, raised his family, and spent years serving the community in business and public office. Bay County has always been home.

Chris and his wife, Molly, opened their home to 47 foster children over 15 years. Five became their daughters. That experience shaped how Chris sees public service: show up, take responsibility, and put people first.

He spent 14 years as CEO of Do-All Inc., helping people with disabilities live independently and find meaningful work. He saw firsthand how much families depend on public systems that actually work.

Chris served on the Bay City Commission before being elected mayor. In both roles, he has focused on the things local government is supposed to get right: roads, public safety, economic development, and making sure City Hall is responsive to the people it serves.

A graduate of Alma College and former Teamsters Local 486 member, Chris has also served with Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health, Hidden Harvest, and Bay Future.

Now he is running for State Representative to give Bay County a leader who knows this community, understands its challenges, and will put the people who live here ahead of politics and special interests.
